Have you seen the boxes and boxes of juicy clementines in your grocery store? How about all the luscious grapefruit and aromatic oranges? I love this time of year!
I can't seem to keep enough citrus in our house lately. My family grabs a couple in the morning and the afternoon, or even as an after dinner snack. This just makes me smile because citrus fruits are so good for us. Not only are they sweet, low in calories, high in fiber and very portable, but they also are an excellent source of vitamin C, flavonoids, folate and pectin - all of which are crucial to a healthy body.
